Air Canada Celebrates 80 Years and Introduces a New Livery

      Air Canada | Corporate Travel

Air Canada celebrates its 80th birthday this year and on 1st July, we celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation.

In this landmark year, our airline is aiming higher and reaching further to strengthen our position as a global customer-focused organisation with a truly Canadian spirit.

Our new livery signals another pivotal transition point in our 80-year history, showcasing a bold new look for Air Canada. Together with new crew uniforms, improved cabin standards across the International Business Class and Premium Economy cabins, the future of Air Canada is both exciting and innovative yet continues to remain deeply rooted in Canada’s national heritage.

Our new Business Class Executive Pod, set in our completely re-designed cabin, is available exclusively on board the newest Boeing 787 Dreamliner™ aircraft, as well as on our Boeing 777 aircrafts.  It is designed to provide customers with their own personal space that's ideal for a good night's sleep. Each International Business Class seat reclines into a fully flat-bed 6’7’’ (203.2cm) at the touch of a button, with all the latest in-flight amenities. Customers will arrive at their destination completely refreshed and ready to start the day.

International Business Class customers will experience all airport priority services, including increased baggage, priority check-in, baggage handling, security clearance and boarding, along with access to 22 Maple Leaf Lounges globally and the highly experienced team of Concierge agents. When on-board, customers will have a selection of inspired dishes, including innovative, sophisticated cuisine specially designed by celebrated Canadian Chef David Hawksworth.

A new class of travel, Premium Economy, is now available on-board the Boeing 787 Dreamliner™, Boeing 777 aircraft and Airbus A330 aircraft, offering customers superior comfort in a dedicated cabin. It offers a larger, wider seat with more recline, extra legroom, and premium meal services served on china dishware and complimentary wines and spirits.
