A new premium experience is taking flight with British Airways. Thanks to a significant investment over the next two years, you can expect an even better experience when you fly in First or Club World.

An even better Club World experience

British Airways is investing £400m in their long haul business class experience in order to give customers enhanced dining and a more comfortable sleep on board from 2018. Better quality food and an extended breakfast service will be available at London Heathrow’s business lounges from the summer. On board, British Airways are introducing new restaurant-style premium dining with display trollies showcasing their dishes. For an even better sleep during flights, new linen, bigger pillows and new duvets will also be available.

      New lounges

Customers using the new lounges at London Gatwick’s South Terminal will be able to enjoy great views and a much more spacious environment in which to relax. New York’s JFK Terminal 7 will be completely refurbished, with improvements made to the entire customer experience.

The newly opened lounge at Boston is more spacious, with direct gate access and views of the Boston skyline. Lounges at Aberdeen, Rome and Geneva will be enhanced next year, with further investment planned for lounges in San Francisco, Johannesburg, Manchester and Chicago, as well as London Heathrow Terminal 5.

New at London Heathrow: The First Wing

On 4 April 2017 British Airways opened The First Wing at London Heathrow, solely for First customers and Executive Gold Members. Designed for a faster and more exclusive experience, it will include new private check-in and security areas, as well as direct access to their premium lounges.

      Executive Club Changes

From 14 June 2017, British Airways are re-introducing free seat reservations for Bronze, Silver and Gold members on a Basic (previously known as Hand Baggage Only) fare on shorthaul routes. Another change they have introduced for Bronze, Silver and Gold members on maternity, paternity or adoption leave is the benefit of ‘status freeze’ for a year. In addition, these members will receive 1,000 bonus Avios if they open an Executive account for the baby as part of their Household Account.
