Japan Airlines Launches a New Daily Service Between London and Tokyo

BA | Japan Airlines | Business Travel

Japan Airlines (JAL) will launch an extra daily service between London and Tokyo, commencing on the 29th October 2017. The new flight will become Japan Airlines second daily between London Heathrow and Tokyo Haneda and bring the total number of flights operated by partner airlines, Japan Airlines and British Airways, between the two cities to four.

As well as more seats available on the London-Tokyo route, the extra flight gives your customers a greater choice of departure times, making it easier for them to find a flight schedule that perfectly suits their own and will also offer the only direct flight from Tokyo with a UK morning arrival time.

The flight will depart from London Heathrow Terminal 3 at 09:30 and arrive at Tokyo Haneda at 06:25 the following morning. The return flight will depart from Tokyo Haneda at 02:45 and arrive at London Heathrow at 06:25 on the same day.

The additional daily service will be served by Japan Airlines’ Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, with three cabins to choose from: Business Class, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class.

Economy Class customers arriving at Tokyo Haneda will be able to enjoy free refreshments in a dedicated area of the Japan Airlines Sakura Lounge. Business Class and Premium Economy Class customers, as well as eligible frequent flyers with Japan Airlines, can make full use of the lounge’s facilities including the buffet-style dining room, bar counter, shower rooms and massage chairs.

The additional service will supplement British Airways’ existing daily flights between London and Tokyo: one to Tokyo Haneda and one to Tokyo Narita. These services are served by a Boeing 777 aircraft, which offers a choice of four cabins: First, Club World, World Traveller Plus and World Traveller.

British Airways flights to and from London Heathrow depart and arrive at the award-winning Terminal 5. First customers and Executive Club Gold Members can use The First Wing, a dedicated new check-in environment that leads directly to the First lounges. Club World customers can relax in the Galleries Lounge and enjoy drinks and snacks before their flight departs.
